COD4 Unlock All Guns, Level 55 Crack

Call of Duty 4 makes you unlock weapons, weapon attachments and mods, camouflage, and challenges. Well there is a way around that because all of the data is stored client-side. To unlock all weapons for Call of Duty 4 multiplayer so that you don’t have to level up follow these easy instructions.
- Download this mpdata file.
- Go to Start -> Run-> Type regedit -> Hit Enter.
- Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> Activision -> Call of Duty 4
- Double-click codkey
- Save the key in notepad
- Replace the key with: DL2J8PY44Q22GE4888D2
- Press OK and close regedit.
- Navigate to your Call of Duty 4 profile folder (typically “C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\players\profiles\your_user_name”)
- Back-up and then remove all the files in your user name folder.
- Place the mpdata file you downloaded in your user name folder
- Open the COD4 MP game and check your rank. You should now be level 55 with all challenges, guns, and every camouflage unlocked!
- Finally, in the game go to Options -> Multiplayer Options -> Key Code and type your original cd key you have saved in notepad.
There you go, you now have everything unlocked. Enjoy.

1After you re-input your cd-key, be sure to join a multiplayer game before closing CoD4. If you don’t, it resets the stats and you have to do it all over again.

6never mind I figure it out.
When you download, just do save as and replace the mpdata file already in your folder. That will do it. Otherwise, the mpdata will just be text file.

7Basically by “back-up all the files in your user name folder” - I mean, move them into a different folder on your computer so that you have them just in case something goes wrong.

8How come my file is a text file? If i place it in the folder, it just goes there without replacing the original file, probably because Windows sees its a different file (due to its .txt extension?). How can i make it the data file? Or should it stay a .txt file? Or do i need to download a non .txt file?

12yea it does work.. and for people that doesn’t understand step 9, here it is rewritten: Copy your Profile file which is in the Players folder to another place on your computer. So now you got 2 copies. Remove ALL files in your “name” folder. Then copy the mpdata file you downloaded into your “name” folder. Now when u go into your COD4, it should say you are level 55… Then you go into options –> multiplayer options –> CD-Key –> Then type in your own CD-Key. Then join a multiplayer game and you should be level 55

13I didnt remove any files in that folder. I simply download the text file and open it with notepad then do save as, then chose the file(the mpdata file that you create it when you first play) already in your folder, then replace it. You just replace it, no need to change to the data file.
Because cod4 just dont read that text file. That is the problem.

16Doesnt work for me.
I just get the “error with reading data your status have been reset” when I try and load up the game after overwriting my mpdata with the one downloaded here. I dont even get to the stage where I put my own key back in.
Have tried it many times. Maybe the patch blocks it?

21I had trouble getting it to work at first. Then I realized that the other files in the profile folder - the ones besides mpdata - needed to be removed. Now it works perfect.

31When i change my key code to the original, it then give me the error after i exit the game and renter the game the error is “error with reading data your status have been reset.” does anyone have this problem if so possible fixes or just something im doing wrong

40Hi,
it seams it dosent work corse the key is saved in the file and the registry. And if there are an different key the stats will be reset. So the “razer-key” is global banned from Activison. Now we nead a realy crack for the mpdata.
By the way I was grow up to 55 by my own. Now I am lvl 1.

42dude blnko… right click and do save target as… and this works fine. You got to try harder. Read my post.
After lvl 55 and change to your orginal cd key in game then you have to play it at least once, just so you dont lose your data
p.s. I lost my data twice, level 35 and 30. Keep trying people.

I lost my entire rank due to a reformat, needless to say, I probably was not going to rank 1-50 again after I saw that my rank was not attached to my keycode.
Some people may use this to cheat, some may use it restore what they’ve already accomplished.
I’m glad I dont have to spend another 40 hours grinding my way up to 55 again.

72This worked perfect, although it took me a few tries to get it right for some reason. My COD4 key was invalid after trying this, after the 4th try it went through.
I was already level 55 to start with, but I had a hard drive failure and lost my rank. This little trick saved the day and my sanity. THANK YOU!!!

73I notice nothing. I tried this and have read through all the posts. There most be a missing step. I’ve done every thing on the list twice and checked my status. It still says level one. I was really hoping this would work as I was nearly at this level before my fricken computers crashed. It makes my blood boil to think of having to start from the begining all over again. User rank should be uploaded when entering a game this way if there is a crash at least the last known rank will be on file.

I’ve been a part of a “private clan” for years. We are a bunch of 40 year old guys mostly playing on weekend nights, after the Mrs and kids have gone to bed. We all quit playing this sort of games /BHD, JO, BF and more.) on public severs, a loooong time ago, cause we all got feed up with servers where you pump a whole mag into some one running towards you with a knife, they are not even pretending to doge the bullits, just run straight towards your bullets, and slice you up. Supermans..? (=Godmod)
Anyway. I got separated from the gaming for awhile. Now, being back, i installed it last nigt and joined my old friends.
Since COD4 is what they are playing these days, i got out and bought the game for $65us. (Yes that,s the cheapest price in a shop! $60us if you buy it online.)
And imagine my dissapointment, when i discoverd, that im nothing short of being “gun meat” for all of my friends. And that’s not because i’m a bad player either. We tryed JO for an hour, and i did a lot more killin than dyin in JO. Back to COD4 and i was slayed over and over again.
As most of you can imagine, i excused my self, and made it an early night.
With this ranking system, i’m seposed to be the “gun food” all the way, untill i reach close to Lvl55..?
I don’t think so!
I have two options here. I either solve this, so we can all play on equal terms, or i won’t be playing att all!
I don’t mind being knifed by a god fellow player, if he manages to get me from behind, (Happend once last night. And i leveld up to Lvl-9 last night, before i got bored of being killed.) but when my clip of bullets doesent penetrate the oponent coming att me eye to eye, and he shoot’s or, knifes me after i shot him 30 times from the croutch to the head..?
I just wana say to all of the no-brainers who complains about this being a cheat:
I Have a life! Hence i dont have the time to sitt here and log on to public servers, just to level up to same level as my friends. I can only spend a fiew hours a week on this, and if all that’s gona happend, is that i get killed a lot, just because my friends has thicker armor, more healt, and there bullets penetrate deeper. Then the $65 will be a waste for me. The game will end up att the shelf, coverd in dust.
One thing i learned early in life is, that to most things in life, there is atleast two sides.
If one can se more than ones own side of things, one can understan life a litle better.
What you whiners, don’t think of is, that just like the public BHD servers, where i got slain by cheaters, who knifed me after i put a whole clip of bullets in them, running straigt towards me.
Just like that, e experianced my friends last night..!
And the reason we never play on public servers, no more is, cause, amungst eachother, we don’t need to even suspect, anyone is cheating. WE DON’T CHEAT!!! Period!
Cause that takes of, all the fun of gaming for us.
And here i was last night, feeling that Activision had given all my friends “the cheat”.
I mean, they where not indistructable. But for a player who usualy has a kill/death rate just above average (About 6/4.) i now have a kill/death rate of 1/2. Even that would be OK, if the others simply where better.
So “you bet your arse”, i will try this tonight!!!

Funny thing is i did a search for “mpdata” on my C\:drive, and it didn’t find it…
I continued my search online, and found the path where the user folder containing the mpdata file is hiden in Vista. (Credit’s to “Devastation forums” for the path.)

89ive tried a dozen different ways to do this (changing mpdata eg via notepad, wordpad etc) and it still doesnt work
does it matter if the key that i used when i installed is the same as that listed above as the one used as a temporary replacement, i play purely on LAN wiht buddies and i was 100 points shy of lvl 55 when my comp crashed, IM NOT CHEATING.
i just want to get all my hard work back

95FOR VISTA USERS…
I just wana clarify that there is a difference in the path at step-8.
Below i have alterd the step-8 instructions. Vista user read step-8 carefully, do not search at the XP path if you have Vista as OS.
Everything else works just like the XP instructions.

14. Finally, in the game go to Options -> Multiplayer Options -> Key Code and type your original cd key you have saved in notepad.
15. you will need to join a online game so that all settings are saved to ur profile.

96Ok for some reason i can’t get this to work “again” I copied all my Players folder to a safe location go into my “username” folder and delete everything cept for the current mpdata file. then i Right Click the link above and do a “save Target as” and replace my current mpdata file. now granted this is with the above cd key already entered in the Registy key… it worked once and then i want to see if i could restore my personal progress and i can but now i can’t get the above mpdata to work lol. restoring my own profile is a snap. Why didn’t you just share your “players” folder and people could have changed the cd key and user name. way simpler then having to deal with this stupid format issue.

97i can’t believe the idiots that complain about the people that doesn`t get it right, maybe s a moronic mystake, but usually we follow it like it shows… its not hard at all.. but for some reason.. doesm`t work for me nider, well, could someone of those who try it many times, explain, what is the comon problem, and whats the shift to make it work. i try it everything… but.. in the moment i re enter in cod and i see the trailer apearing i know that is reseted again, just because of the fact that when u hav a profile thats been used, the trailer doen`t show in the start….
i think the roblem maty be in those config mp files thta apear once u reenter in cod.

98i`ve solved, ill explain de steps for doit right
DONT OPEN THE LINK OF THE MPDATA FILE FROM TOP OF THE PAGE.
just click on it with right click and select save target as
ill prompt a save as, by default it would say, save as “mpdata.txt”
erase the “.txt” part and click save, on your desktop for example.
that would be the valid mpdata file to use.
the problem was, that, when i saved the file, just like it shows, it doesnt work, the saving must be done thisway, for the explorer to translate the file in a way it reads in cod4.

99Listen, yes the game is frustrating at first, but give yourself a chance at trying before giving up. You all have a defeatist attitude….I just played COD4 for the first time online, after an hour I was in the top 5 consistently on my side as a private! I can just image what the guys with hundreds of hours playing but lower scores were thinking.
Don’t give up, give yourself a chance, you’ll only be cheating yourself…once we see you’re level 55 with a pathetic score everybody playing is going to know who the lamer is…you won’t be getting any respect, or points. These guns don’t majically make you a good player. Time does.

100I figured how to get mine to work, you have to make sure the Key in the multiplayer options is also the one listed in the instructions, otherwise they conflict and you get the error, “Error with reading data your status have been reset”. If they match, this works.

(its your only hope)
1) Uninstall COD4
Do the MPDATA thing. Follow ALMOST all of the steps up listed in here. Just do the MPDATA thing, go back in to the game, you’ll see how you have all the cool weapons now? Okay, start a REGULAR SERVER just for you… blow up some cars. Fall from a great height. Make some stats for yourself basically.
2) Regedit and pull out EVERYTHING when you do your uninstall too. Thats right.. get rid of all COD4 evidence.
3) Guess what? Reinstall it now. Use your OFFICAL KEY!
4) *** BUT DO NOT INSTALL PUNKBUSTER!!! ***
5) *** AND DO NOT PATCH THE GAME!!! ***
6) So only install the 1.0 game. Okie?
7) Now that you’ve installed. Start the game so you JUST get a profile in MP.
9) *** NOW PATCH THE GAME TO 1.3 ***
10) Play some more on your own private server… get some more blow up car stats.
11) *** FIX YOUR KEY *** PUT IN A REAL ONE NOW !!!
12) INSTALL PUNKBUSTER LAST! Do it manually!
13) ENJOY YOUR LEVEL 55!
Its a lot of work but a lot less work then building it back manually.
SO OBVIOUSLY.. there is some sort of data fix in the new patch and the new punkbuster patch somehow that prevents us from simply doing the L55 hack…. LONG STORY SHORT….
IN ORDER TO MAKE THE LEVEL 55 HACK WORK… you have to start with a BRAND NEW INSTALL OF THE GAME… if I messed up the above steps somehow… then just… I dunno.. figure it out yourself.. because ITS THE PATCH AND PB that PREVENTS YOUR STATS FROM BEING L55 AND RETURNS THEM TO Level 1!

Did you read the previous posts @ all? (Post 80 for example.) I’m one of those “lamers”.
If the stores would refound my money, i would have returned the game, belive it.
Activision put a cheat in all ppls hands who played the game enough hours, and that sux! Big time.
Not the best players, but the once that played CoD4 the longest. You play for +30 hours, and we provide you with advatages towards your felow players just getting started…
What’s that if not cheating. (Complements of Activision)
I did play it for about 2-3 hours, and ended up at lvl 9 before i got bored. For every kill i got killed five times. And after i used the “mpdata” file my kill ratio was back to normal, around 6/4. You se, i alreday had the experience from other games like BHD, JO, some BF (BF is to much about operating machinery.) previous CoD’s and others. It’s basicly “same shit”, just a litle fancyer graphics.
Exaple.
The guys i play with, (Me included.) usualy cover there arse by setting up a claymore behind them. (Going into buildings, tunnels etc.)
If youre new to CoD4 you can’t do that, cause you don’t get the claymores untill later, But if you play against a oponent who played the game a litle longer than you, he has the claymore, and uses it.
Newbie can’t, +30h into the game player can…
Even worse, a newbie shots of one round, and all oponents flock around him in a heart beat, but if he gets killed by +30h player, who got a silencer, nobody can tell what happend. And certanly not “in witch direction” it accured.
And the “time makes you a good player” part is so true, YES!
But the time played shouldent have to be only CoD4.
Ppl that played this kind of games for thousands of hours, and are realy good at them, still will be left behind due to the rank system in CoD4.
It sux! And above trick is a good way to equalize the ods, and then we realy find out who’s the best… When we all are on the same page…
P.S.
What’s the difference in me inserting this file, or me leaving the game on, and let my kids play it for me for say a week?
Either way i will end up @ lvl 55.
But according to you the first option makes me a “lamer”, the second doesent. Never the less, i won’t be better nor wors at the game it self, but i will have all the perk’s the rest of the players has.
If you didn’t already, i sugest you read post 80 before replying.
And to those with problems copying the file “mpdata”, i copied the file to my desktop, (From internet) opend it with wordpad, “ctrl+A” to select all, then “ctrl+C” to copy, then i opend the existing mpdata file with wordpad, and “ctrl+A” to select all again, and then “ctrl+V” to paste over the old “selected” data.
The file extension problem usualy accurs if “hide known file extensions” is selected, this way you get around it, since you work inside existing files, with correct file names.

109Got it figured out.
1.Download the above mpdata file do the save file as option
2.make a backup of your current folder located in “profiles” its the folder you named, BUT LEAVE everything thing alone don’t delete anything yet.
3.Start the game up and go change the key to the above key. it will show valid, turn the game off after
4. go in and delete everything in the folder you backed up (one mentioned above) cept for your current mpdata file
5. ok open the new mpdata file with notpad and safe it as the mpdata file in your named folder. make sure it doesnt save as a txt file.
6. start the game up and change back to your CD key and play a game on the net with the new lvl55
7. make a new folder in the “profiles” folder and put your old backed up stuff in that and you can keep your old stuff that way, single player game info and keep working on your own character.
the whole go into registry and change the key stuff only worked once for me.. why the hell you would do that when you can just do it in the game is beyond me. I even made registry keys so i didn’t have to open regedit and it still wouldn’t work that way.. now i’ve got the lvl55 and my legit character.

112ya know i worked my guy up to 43 on my own…got on cod4 today and guess what…my saves and profile where missing…so i googled it…and to my suprise ranks are not saved on ther server side…are you f…ing kidding me??? I just started getting decent weapons and perks..granted it only took a few days..of full days playing..to get to 43..but hell why would i want to continue to play this over and over and have my profile erased again..theres no fun in that when everyone eles is a 55 and has everything….nothing was installed on my pc..or scanned since i last played….just dissaperd…so damn right im gonna try to get this to work..and i feel justified doing so…how can you make an online game with ranks and not have the server side save it??..if it gets me banned…screw em ..im not playing rank up to lvl 55 over and over again…havent been able to get it to work yet..but im gonna keep trying

113You know whoever’s CDkey that really is is goign to be screwed because you KNOW someone is going to not change the cdkey back and your now sharing the same PB GUID with alot of other people… half of whom probably hack and will leave a trail with your cdkey.
but if you don’t play competition then it might not matter.

and then save over the mpdata file in your directory - now the file isnt a .txt but
the same as the original. then just delete everything out of the folder except the mpdata file
you just repalced… and do everything else that cool eric guy said. and it will work.

The 32/64 bit OS doesent save in different paths, should be the same.
How ever, XP and Vista saves in different locations, and since you don’t find it in the game folder one has to asume you run Vista. right?
The ansver to your question is already posted a fiew posts up, but since i made a smal error typing it, i will post it again.

Where you find two backslashes (”\\”) in betvine the first two goes your win login name, and in the secont case (All the way in the end of the path) the player name.

Did you start the process with changing the CD key?
If CD key is not correct, you will get the error/reset.
It’s very important to folow ALL the steps in the instruction.
Maybee you did..? and then i can’t help you out. Hopefully you just missed one step and that’s the reason for the error.

We have done this on 15 different computers now, (10x XP, 4x Vista32 and 1x Vista64.) and it seems to work everytime, only difference i discoverd is the save path where the pmdata file will be found.
At first two of my playmates complained a litle (Hints about cheating.) but then one of the complaining players had a system crash, and was gone for a day. First one to hear from him, when he got up and running, was me. And guess the subject..!
That’s right… he wanted help to get back to “lvl55″.
I said.
- No problem, since you don’t wana “cheat” we can start a multiplayer game, and you can just run around while i kill you for a week, that should do the trick..!
And that was the end of the cheating debate in our crew.
Now that i played the game for a while, i must say, the map’s are realy boring.
I would change back to BHD any day, but since this is what the rest is playing, i have litle choice but to tag along.
Graphicks is ofcorce lightyears from stoneaged BHD, but i had a lot more fun in both BHD and JO.
Maybee it’s just me getting old..? lol

124I’ve written “where does the (64bit) save?” but I wanted to write “where does the vista (64 bit) save?”
but it isn’t important, the problem is that I don’t have Appdata folder in Users or in any of the folders in Users. I tried with several browsers but nothing… So I absolutely don’t know what to do. But thank you for trying to help me!
