The entire eight-year strong archive of the Daily Show has been posted online. Users can watch any show via an ad driven setup. This comes in light of the $1 billion law suit Viacom has going against Youtube. I guess this will be a good measuring stick to prove to the courts that the ability to stream The Daily Show is, in fact, worth billions.

Microsoft’s new web application Popfly is now beta. Along the same lines as Yahoo Pipes, and Google Mashups, Popfly allows users to easily build pages by mashing together the content of popular sites such as Flickr, Twitter, Digg, and Virtual Earth. All of this is done through a drag and drop interface but what’s interesting is that it is powered by the Silverlight browser plugin. For those unaware, Silverlight is much like Flash. Who remembers the good old days of AOL? When AOL was on version 2.5 and punting was making online hell for AOL subscribers? When private room “warez” was anything but banned? I do. I remember AOHell and the determination of many to bring AOL down. Today, I am proud to announce that AOL has been forced to axe 2,000 jobs.
